ICS Triplex was recently awarded a development contract from Hydro Oil and Energy for “Critical Component Qualification for Ormen Lange Subsea Gas Compression Project”. The Ormen Lange License owners are Norsk Hydro,
Statoil, Shell, Petoro, BP and Exxon/Mobile. ICS Triplex was selected for
this critical application due to their experience in compressor control and their patented incipient surge detection technology. This project will determine the feasibility of a Subsea Compression Facility located on the sea floor at depths up to 1100 meters.
