Regent Overview

The Regent programmable controller offers Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) for true fault-tolerant operation. The Regent is the one economical and flexible solution for all your critical control and safety-related applications.

Regent TMR offers:

Total fault-tolerant operation at top performance

Regent's unique "Hardware Implemented Fault Tolerance" (HIFT) votes virtually all system actions all the time, without time-consuming software intervention. If one component fails, or if a replacement component is being educated, Regent still performs at the same high speed. Your critical safety and process control applications are never compromised.

Super high-speed response

Regent votes every programming instruction and every data bit at hardware speeds, so it can respond instantly when danger threatens. High speed also allows the Regent to log the sequence of events, even when a failure happens so fast that multiple events appear to happen simultaneously.

The I/O capacity for all types of applications

A choice of I/O modules make the Regent perfect for virtually every high-risk application. You may use simplex modules for non-critical devices, guarded modules for fail-safe operations, and dual guarded modules for fault tolerant operations. For simple digital I/O (switches and lights) as well as addressable loop devices, the high-density multiplexed I/O interface is an extremely economical alternative.

The flexibility to run multiple applications concurrently

Regent allows you to organise your applications as separate programs running concurrently within the system, the perfect solution for multiple process control and safety requirements. It iseasy to start or stop any one application program without affecting the others. And your systems stays online even during program modification.
