The T6100 Controller’s universal hardware architecture and its control flexibility permit configurations from anti-surge to complete performance control (capacity, load-sharing, decoupling) as required by each application. This control optimization results in energy savings, operation simplicity and high reliability.
The advantages of using the T6100 Controller are:
- Advanced Surge Control: Op point tracking, look-up table, curve fit, adaptive gain, etc., all contribute to the ability of safely operating the compressor close to the surge limit line.
- Incipient Surge Detection/Control - SurgeGard: Detects fluidic oscillations that occur as a precursor to surge. The incipient surge detection is independent of the compressor performance map. SurgeGard provides for a wider operating window, permits close operation to the actual surge line and facilitates surge point testing.
- Integrated Process/Capacity Control: Includes capacity control and pressure override control. Coordinated action between performance control and anti-surge control (decoupling).
- Load Sharing: Standard peer-to peer communications simplify load sharing schemes. Load sharing with or without a master controller ensures maximum system efficiency.
- Automated Start-up, Sequencing and Shutdown: Run-up, rundown, purge, loading and decoupling control are coordinated between stages/sections, compressors and the process/pipeline. The process can be put on-line quickly and consistently.
- Control Strategy Flexibility: Extensive library of control functions allows to add custom-defined strategy and to adapt to any field condition.
- Fallback Algorithms: Allows for continued, safe operation in the event of a critical transmitter failure (critical transmitters include flow, suction pressure and discharge pressure).
- Single Control Board: Integrates intelligence, I/O and communication on one board. Minimizes spares and space. Results in significant cost savings.
- Communication: Three communications ports support Peer to Peer and Modbus communications. RS232 or RS485.
